Concillors support Pondy CM, want him to continue in post

Puducherry, June 25 (UNI) Close on the heels of all DMK Legislators rallying behind Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy, demanding that he should continue in the post, about 50 councillors of Puducherry and Ozhukarai Municipalities, led by Ozhukarai Municipality Chairman N S J Jayabal, today demanded that Mr Rangasamy should not be ousted from the post.

Addressing a press conference here along with the councillors, Mr Jayabal said Mr Rangasamy should be allowed to run the government without any interruption. He said the apprehension that Mr Rangasamy would be ousted from the post was being created by some ''evil forces'' here, which needed to be condemned strongly.

Mr Jayabal and the councillors, who offered their full support to the Chief Minister, said they would chalk out their future course of action after a discussion.
