Cabinet approves Rs 264 cr Shirdi airport project
Mumbai, Jun 25 (UNI) Maharashtra Government has approved the construction of an airport at Kakdi, about 15 km away from Shirdi, at an investment of Rs 264 crore.
Land of 400 hectares has to be acquired for the project and the district collector has been entrusted the rights for the acquisition.
The decision on the project was taken at a Cabinet meeting held here today.
The airport will be constructed by Maharashtra Airport Development Company on public and private partnership basis.
