Hyderabad, Jun 24 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today presided over the state tourism promotion board meeting and directed that a G O on the new tourism policy should be issued without any delay and till then the old policy and the concessions of the old tourism policy will be in force.
He said the new tourism policy should be in force for five years, according to an official here, the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Mart would be held in Hyderabad from September 16. More than 1500 delegates from across the world are expected to attend the prestigious event. All matters like waiver of luxury tax and reimbursement of differential room tariff for PATA Board of Directors were discussed and agreed.
It was also decided that coffee shop timings in the 4 star and above hotels will be relaxed in the GHMC and the new international airport areas since various international flights are arriving at odd hours and the passengers also reach the hotels at odd hours and the meeting also decided to develop Jalayagnam sites as tourist spots and start house boating in these areas.
