Uma will sit on fast against alleged corruption in MP
Bhopal, June 24 (UNI) In order to protest alleged corruption prevailing in Madhya Pradesh, Bharatiya Janshakti (BJ) head and former chief minister Uma Bharti would observe one-day fast here on July 1 under the party's 'Lok Jagaran Abhiyan'.
''In this regard, Ms Bharti is already observing a fast in Gwalior,'' said State BJ President Ashok Tripathi to the reporters here today, adding that the sadhwi would undergo fast in Rewa on June 28, Jabalpur on June 29 and Indore on June 30.
He said that meanwhile symposiums would be held to make people aware about large scale corruption and finding ways to tackle it.
"If nothing concrete would come out then we would hand over a memorandum to state Governor Balram Jhakhar and would demand to demit Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Lokayukta Ripusudan Dayal," he added.
