Two more succumb to rain-related diseases
Mumbai, June 24 (UNI) Two more persons succumbed to rain-related diseases in the city today, taking the toll to 12, since the onset of monsoon on June 9.
According to civic officials, one person succumbed to fever at Nair Hospital and another person to leptospirosis at the KEM Hospital.
Earlier, ten people had died due rain-related diseases in the city, with three succumbing to dengue, three to malaria and five to fever, according to civic officials.
In all, 268 patients have been admitted to various civic run hospitals in the last 24 hours. Of them, 176 people have been admitted for fever, 63 for gastroenteritis, five for suspected leptospirosis, one for dengue and 23 for malaria, officials said.
