Two more farmers commit suicide
Mysore, June 24 (UNI) Two more farmers had committed suicide after they were unable to repay the loans in Mandya and Hassan districts.
In Mandya district, a 35-year old Mahesh of Athiganhalli committed suicide by hanging to a tree in his land last night.
He had taken the loan from various banks worth of Rs 2 lakh.
Assistant Commissioner Ms Poornima visited the village.
In another incident a 54-year old farmer Devarajegowda of Bannur in Arakagudu taluk of Hassan district also committed suicide by hanging at his residence yesterday.
Both the farmers took the extreme steps of committing suicide following the pressure from the financial institution for the repayment of the loans.
