Navi Mumbai, Jun 24 (UNI) Raigarh district president of Shiv Sena, Baban Patil and party activists today staged ''Rasta Roko'' and ''Chakka Jam'' agitations, at Kalamboli in the Navi Mumbai district, to protest the rising prices of essential commodities and shortage in supply of fertiliser and seeds to farmers all over the state.
The Navi Mumbai control room sources said that around 150-200 Sena Party activists, led by Mr Patil, staged 'Rasta Roko' at Kalamboli at 1130 hrs.
There was a traffic jam for half-an-hour. Later, all the acitivists were rounded up by police to clear the traffic. They were brought to police station and then allowed to go home.
The activists raised slogans against the centre and state government for ''failing to check the inflation''.
