Protest against BJP workers' misbehaviour: Uike
Bhopal, Jun 24: Alleging indecent behaviour by the BJP workers against the common people during a shut down in Balaghat district headquarters, Gondwana Mukti Sena Patron and MLA Darbu Singh Uike demanded action against them.
Mr Uike told reporters here today that if FIR was not registered against the accused, he would launch an agitation from July 15.
''Under this agitation, a 'dharna' would be staged and slogans would be shouted against Public Health Engineering Minister and Balaghat District In charge Minister Choudhary Chandrabhan Singh,'' he said.
Mr Singh issued a controversial statement against Congress President Sonia Gandhi and to protest this, a shut down was observed in Balaghat on June 20.
''Meanwhile, BJP workers misbehaved with workers of the opponent parties and common people too,'' he said, adding police was refraining from filing an FIR.
Protesting the proposal for making Chhindwara a new division, Mr Uike said Balaghat should not be included in it.
''Balaghat should remain in the Jabalpur division while Seoni should be made new division and Chhindwara district should be included in that,'' he added.
