Shivpuri, MP, June 24 (UNI) Union Steel, Fertiliser and Chemicals Minister Ram Vilas Paswan today said that the 123 Indo-US Nuclear Agreement was imperative in India's interest.

''If the communists protest against the United States then the Centre will have to take everybody into confidence and arrive at a consensus. The government will not fall over this issue and will complete its tenure,'' he told mediapersons after addressing a Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) public meeting at nearby Karaira.

Replying to a question, the Minister said that the LJP would go it alone in assembly polls in Madhya Pradesh and some other states.

However, if the Congress made the first move for an alliance then it would be considered.

''The Centre is concerned over price hike and every possible effort is being made to check the rise,'' Mr Paswan said while adding that time and again his party demanded dismissal of Uttar Pradesh's Mayawati regime on account of spiralling atrocities against women and dalits in that state.
