Mumbai, Jun 24 (UNI) Prices of nickel cathode and copper in ferrous and non-ferrous metals declined today on thin demand by stockists and weaker advice from London Stock Exchange (LMER) along with Kolkata, Delhi and other centres, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange said.
In ferrous metals category, copper utensils eased by Rs 100 per quintal owing to incrased offers by stockists in the face of larger stocks. Rest of the prices remained unchanged on moderate buying support by local dealers.
In non-ferrous metals, copper wire bars also declined by Rs 100 in line with copper utensils. Similarly, nickel cathode crashed by Rs 30 to Rs 1185 per kg amid renewed selling pressure by stockists, induced by berish advice from LME and domestic centres like Kolkata and Delhi.
However, rest of other prices including tin slab remained steady on small demand from local dealers, traders added.
Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: copper heavy - Rs 38,200, copper utensils - Rs 33,800, brass utensils - Rs 25,200, brass cuttings - Rs 26,900 and aluminium utensils - Rs 11,400.
Non-ferrous metals: copper wire bars - Rs 41,500, aluminium ingots - Rs 14,900, zinc slab - Rs 10,200, lead ingots - Rs 10,400, tin slab - Rs 1,160 per kg and nickel cathode - Rs 1,185 per kg.
