NEO Cricket to relive 1983 World Cup victory

Mumbai, Jun 24 (UNI) It has been 25 glorious years since India won the World Cup trophy, and NEO Cricket will be celebrating this silver jubilee with full gusto, taking its viewers down the lanes of 1983 World Cup, reliving each moment of that landmark year, with a special 8-hour episode on June 25, starting at 1600 hrs right until midnight.

The look and feel of the channel has been specially designed with an objective to have its viewers relive the moments of the 1983 World Cup. Each of the cricket based shows have designed special content for whole of this month thus capturing all the breathtaking moments and experiences of the winning team. Prominent personalities like Bappi Lahiri, Mahesh Bhatt, Piyush Pandey and Prahlad Kakkar have shared their experiences and memories evoked, owing to the remarkable victory, a release issued here today said.

Taking from ''Dial C for Cricket'', a unique viewer centric interactive show, where viewers can call in to discuss the various issues of the game like player performances and match conditions, Neo Cricket has programmed a special 8-hour programme 'Dial C for Celebrations'.

The show will create a platform for all cricket followers to congratulate the '83 team players and share their memories with the present generation. This broadcast will be packed with guests from cricket and non-cricket backgrounds, joining the Dial C team LIVE over the phone. The show will also showcase the highlights of the historic win. Furthermore specially shot exclusive interviews from the World Cup legends like Kris Srikanth, Mohinder Amarnath, Syed Kirmani, Madan Lal and Manoj Prabhakar, among others, will be a part this broadcast.
