India will be superpower by 2020: Patil
Aurangabad, Maharashtra, June 24 (UNI) Knowledge is capital in the 21st century and India has highest number of experts in all fields because of which India will be a superpower by 2020, deputy chief minister R R Patil said here today.
He was speaking after inaugurating the Police Public School in the Cidco area here today.
India will become a superpower while Maharashtra will march ahead of other states in the country, he stressed.
''Knowledge has become a capital in the new millennium and, therefore, parents should provide better education to their children,'' Mr Patil said.
Mr Patil said that for the promotion of primary education, the Maharashtra Government spends highest amounts on education through Zilla Parishad, municipal councils and corporations.
Director general of police A N Roy and police commissioner of the city K R Bishnoi were also present.
The Police Public Scool, inaugurated by Mr Patil today, will have 50 per cent seats reserved for the wards of police personnel.
