Haryana to observe drug abuse day on June 26
Chandigarh, Jun 24 (UNI) The Haryana Government will observe June 26 as International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking in order to raise public awareness against the menace of drugs.
While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that on the occasion, seminars would be organised to evolve new coordinated strategies to combat this menace. Similarly, exhibitions in different cities and towns would be organised to create awareness besides orgainising public meetings in areas vulnerable to drug abuse and HIV.
He said that voluntary organisations and educational institutions would also be associated in the programmes for drug abuse control and de-addiction activities.
