Defence Training Commands Conference at Shimla

Chandigarh, Jun 24 (UNI) A Tri-Services Training Commands Conference would be held at ARTRAC (Army Training Command) Headquarters in Shimla on June 26.

The conference would be attended by Lt Gen JK Mohanty, GOC-in-C, Army Training Command, Shimla; Vice Admiral Sunil K Damle, FOC-in-C, Southern Naval Command, Kochi and Air Marshal VR Iyer, AOC-in-C, Training Command, Indian Air Force, Bangalore, who are Commanders-in-Chief of the training commands of the three services respectively.

A number of senior officers from Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff and the three services would also attend the conference.

During the conference, the officers of the three services will interact with each other and deliberate on various issues to promote jointmanship between the tri services.

As the three training commands take care of training requirements of their respective services, the conference is expected to generate a healthy discussion among the officers with the objective of promoting integration of training between the three services so as to enhance interoperability, which would be the very essence of any future conflict.
