Clean chit to Chhattisgarh CM
Raipur, June 24 (UNI) The Chhattisgarh Lok Ayog today gave a clean chit to Chief Minister Raman Singh by dismissing a Congress complaint vis-a-vis industrial parks.
Striking down the complaint by Congress state Secretary Rajesh Bissa, Lokayukta K M Agrawal said in his decision that the Ayog was satisfied by the clarification furnished through separate replies by Dr Singh, Chief Secretary (CS) Shivraj Singh and State Industrial Development Corporation General Manager S C Behar.
''The complainant alleged violation of the Constitution and apathy towards the Central Vigilance Commission's directives. Both charges are baseless,'' ruled the Lokayukta while also giving a clean chit to the CS against whom misconduct was not proved.
The Lokayukta took exception to the then Industry Minister and Principal Secretary (Finance) not being made respondents despite being accused of corruption by the complainant.
