London, June 24 : English television presenter Christopher Biggins admits that he has a crush on soccer idol David Beckham.

The 59-year-old pantomime actor, who openly admits being a gay, says that he really likes the former England captain in advertisements in which he poses in his skimpies.

"Every time I see those underwear adverts, I go bananas," Daily Express quoted Biggins, as saying.

"I met him (Beckham) once. It was about five years ago when I was having dinner in The Ivy.

"I plucked up the courage to go over and say hello. He was delighted and said he loved me in (Eighties children's gameshow) On Safari!" he added.
