Bangladeshi national held on IB in Samba
Jammu, Jun 24 (UNI) Security forces today arrested one Bangladeshi national on international border (IB) in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir, sources here said.
''The troops of BSF (135 BN) noticed suspicious movements on IB around 0130 hours with four people trying to cross into Pakistan,'' the sources told UNI asserting, ''Despite warning they attempted to ex-filtrate, which forced troops to open fire on them.'' However, the suspected people returned back to the Indian side.
Later the BSF along with locals launched searches in the area and arrested one of the persons, who have been identified as Qumru Din, a resident of Bangladesh.
''During investigation, the arrested Bangladeshi national disclosed that they were four in number and were trying to enter Pakistan. The BSF recovered Rs 118 from his possession,'' the sources added.
