Anti-Malaria drive in Nagaland on June 29
Kohima, Jun 24 (UNI) As part of the ongoing 'Anti-Malaria Month' in Nagaland, the Malaria Department will conduct a 'Mosquito Killing Hour' in Dimapur district on June 29, official sources said here today.
This Anti-Malaria drive is being conducted by the state Health and Family Welfare Department.
The sources said Dimapur Additional Deputy Commissioner Sedivikho Khro appealed to all the citizens to ''kill as many mosquitoes as possible by using their own methods on June 29 from 1700 hrs to 1800 hrs.'' Mr Khro appealed to the citizens to submit the innovative methods to the Zonal Malaria Office, Dimapur, so that further research and measures could be taken up.
He also requested all the Chairmen, Gaon Burahs of the colonies, wards and villages respectively to ensure that the 'Mosquito Killing Hour' is carried out in their respective areas to get rid of the menace of the dreaded disease carrier.
