TDP leader denies involvement in anti-party activities
Hyderabad, Jun 23 (UNI) TDP Vice-President G Sukhender Reddy, in his reply to the showcause notice served by party chief N Chandrababu Naidu last week, said he did not indulge in any anti-party activities during the recent by-elections in Andhra Pradesh.
Mr Sukhender was served the showcause notice on the basis of a complaint by former minister and party contestant from Alair Assembly seat M Narasimhulu that he did not support him and his ''anti-party'' activities caused his defeat in the election.
Alleging that Mr Narasimhulu had not supported him in the recent dairy elections and indulged in mudslinging against him several times, Mr Reddy claimed that the former was defeated in the by-election because of his ''arrogant'' behaviour.
Observing that he was elevated as a state leader from a panchayat Sarpanch because of his hard work, Mr Reddy said he was obedient to the party and would work to strengthen it, particularly in his Nalgonda district.
The tussle between Mr Reddy and Mr Narasimhulu has created two groups in the TDP in Nalgonda district, apparently weakening the party.
