Paperless administration soon in MCD
New Delhi, Jun 23 (UNI) To mark the beginning of a new work culture at the city's civic centre, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) is striving to set up a paperless administration that would herald transparency and efficieny of a greater level.
The service delivery system, mechanism and operation process of various departments would be studied by an infotech firm to bring about the transformation, according to the MCD.
The public interface of the MCD portal would be user-friendly and easy to handle so as to make people comfortable with the system, said Standing Committee Chairman Vijender Gupta.
While the proposal for the new system would be ready by August 25, nearly Rs 80 lakh would be paid as consultancy to the infotech firm, he said, adding that vendor selection would be over by November.
