Monsoon weak over Coastal and North Interior Karnataka
Bangalore, Jun 23 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours today.
Monsoon was weak over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka. Rainfall occurred at many places over Coastal Karnataka; at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over North Interior Karnataka.
Chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Bhagamandala 5; Bajpe 4; Mani, Puttur, Karkala, Nagamangala 3 each; Panambur, Subramanya, Sulya, Madikeri, Virajpet, Napoklu, Sringeri, H.D.Kote, Sargur, Mandya 2 each; Dharmasthala, Gerusoppa, Kadra, Jagalbet, Agumbe, Mudigere, Jayapura, Sakleshpura, Bandipura, Gundlupet, Gudibande 1 each.
Forecast valid until Wednesday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at many places over Coastal Karnataka; at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over North Interior Karnataka.
Farmers Weather Bulletin: Moderate to rather heavy rain likely to occur at many places over Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada districts of Coastal Karnataka and over Kodagu, Shimoga, Chikmagalur and Hassan districts of South Interior Karnataka and at a few places over Belgaum district of North Interior Karnataka. Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over remaining districts of South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over remaining districts of North Interior Karnataka.
