Hate mail sender apologises for his action
New Delhi, Jun 23 (UNI) Mumbai-based Vinit B Acheria, who sent hate mails to four senior Left leaders threatening to eliminate them for their opposition to the nuclear deal and harassing Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, today apologised for his action.
By eliminating he meant removing from Indian politics, Mr Acheria said in an e-mail received by CPI headquarters here at 1145 hours.
The e-mail is addressed to CPM general secretary Prakash Karat and his counterpart in CPI A B Bardhan and two other senior Left leaders Sitaram Yechuri and D Raja.
He also furnished his residence address and fax number only to express that he had no criminal intention.
''I regret and apologise for expressing my views in harsh and bad language. Hoping you will accept my sincere apology,'' he added.
While asking the Left leaders to refer to his earlier e-mail dated June 21, he explained if at all there was any criminal thought of writing to them he would have not mailed the letter from his e-mail ID and mentioned his telephone number.
Earlier, threatening e-mails were sent to top Left leaders asking the Communists opposing the nuclear deal ''not to behave like terrorists''.
