Jammu, June 23 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir BJP unit has demanded that an FIR be lodged against state Deputy Chief Minister and senior leader of People's Democratic People (PDP) Muzaffar Hussain Beig for inciting communal passions by making an outrageous statement.
''Mr Beig's remarks for the outgoing J&K Governor Lt Gen (Retd) S K Sinha and his principal secretary Arun Kumar, is an attempt to communalize the atmosphere across state,'' alleged the BJP State president Ashok Khajuria in a statement here yesterday.
''Jammu will observe a complete 'bandh' and resort to economic blockade to the Valley in case the PDP gives a 'bandh' call in Kashmir against Shri Amarnath Shrine Board,'' Mr Khajuria said.
''We demand immediate dismissal of Deputy Chief Minister from the state cabinet as his continuation in the government will aggravate the problem,'' he added.
The BJP president also said if the PDP leaders are concerned about the environment of fragile mountains of the Valley, they should abandon construction of Mughal Road which is consuming lakhs of kanals of the forest land.
