Kochi, Jun 22: Kerala Governor R L Bhatia today urged the young entrepreneurs to imporve their skills to face the challenges of the globalised economy.
Addressing a gathering after inaugurating the valedictory function of the golden jubilee celebrations of the Kerala Management Association (KMA) here, Mr Bhatia said ''the entire world had emerged as a market with immense potential and the young entrepreneurs should improve their skills to compete in the market.'' He said the introduction of new production facilities and enhancement of the existing facilities were mandatory to tap the opportunities thrown open by globalisation.
Mr Bhatia noted that the three revolutions that changed the world were advancement in science and technology, information technology and globalisation.
''Kerala is also poised to surge ahead in the fields of IT, healthcare, tourism and education,'' he added.
He also presented awards to entreprenuers, who excelled in various fields.
