Two LeT militants killed in south Kashmir
Srinagar Jun 22 (UNI) Security forces today killed two militants of Pakistan based Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) in a fierce encounter in south Kashmir, a senior police officer said.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Jammu and Kashmir police for south Kashmir Muneer Ahmad Khan said acting on a tip off about the presence of militants at village Nariwan, Shopian, a search operation was launched this morning.
He said when the area was being sealed with the assistance of Army, militants hiding there opened fire.
The troops fired back and in the fierce clash two LeT militants were killed. Two AK rifles and other arms and ammunition were recovered from the slain militants.
