PM Koirala seeks legal experts' advice on resignation
Kathmandu, June 22 : Prime Minister and Nepali Congress (NC) president Girija Prasad Koirala on Sunday consulted party affiliated legal experts concerning his resignation and formation of the next government.
According to Nepalnews, he discussed on 'how and where' to resign with the legal experts, Advocate Harihar Dahal informed.
The experts are learnt to have advised the Prime Minister not to resign at the present time considering the interim constitution's provisions.
The legal experts suggested Koirala not to resign until the election of the country's first president.
Involving members of the opposition party in the Constitutional and Security Councils can further strengthen democratic process, the legal experts told PM Koirala.
The discussion comes at a time when the political parties have been urging the PM to clear out the path to forming the next government by resigning from his post.
