Darjeeling, Jun 19 (UNI) The Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM), spearheading an indefinite strike for a separate state of Gorkhaland in Darjeeling, today relaxed its indefinite strike for 72 hours from 1800 hrs to 1800 hrs on wednesday.
GJM general secretary Roshan Giri here said a delegation was proceeding to New Delhi tomorrow to meet the Opposition leaders.
The GJM had been strongly pitching for a tripartite meeting among the Centre, state government and GJM on the Gorkhaland issue.
The GJM had earlier also relaxed its indefinite strike for 60 hours.
Earlier, the GJM rejected Chief Minsiter Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee's fresh offer for talks and decided to raise its ''peace keeping force'' in the hills.
'' We have heard the Chief Minister's latest offer. But the fact is we will not sit in the bipartite meeting on Darjeeling issue, '' GJM spokesman Binay Tamang said.
