Lahore, Jun 21 (UNI) With just two days left for the Asia Cup tournament to begin, Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik does not want to take any chances and has warned his team not to be complacent after the title-winning triumph against India in the tri-series in Bangladesh.

The Pakistan captain admitted that his team is high on confidence as his players teed off their preparations for the Asia Cup to be played on home soil.

''There is no doubt that the victory in Bangladesh has boosted our confidence,'' Malik told mediapersons yesterday at the National Stadium.

''But the Asia Cup will be a different tournament altogether and we will have to start from scratch,'' he noted.

Malik, who returned home from India after a private visit, said it will not be an easy tournament even though his side is being touted as favourites to win the Asia Cup because of their current record and the home advantage.

''We will work hard and give our best in each of the (Asia Cup) matches, no matter which side we are playing against in the event,'' Malik said.

''Let's not forget that India are a very dangerous team,'' he said. ''They've beaten Australia this year and we will have to give our best to beat them. And then we cannot take Sri Lanka lightly.'' UNI XC RAR SZ PM1040
