Mumbai, Jun 21 (UNI) Copper heavy and aluminium utensils in ferrous metal category, moved up today, on renewed buying support from stockists along with firm advice from Kolkata, Delhi and other centres, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange said.
Copper heavy and aluminium utensils witnessed upward trend, as they soared by Rs 100 per quintal each and closed at Rs 38,000 and Rs 11,300 respectively, due to reduced stock supply by stockists.
Copper utensils, brass utensils and brass cuttings remained unchanged, on moderate demand.
In non-ferrous metals, important metals like copper wire bars, aluminium ingot, zinc slab and lead ingot remained flat, on scattered buying by stockists.
Tin slab and nickel cathode increased by Rs 20 and Rs 5 per kg and closed at Rs 1,150 and Rs 1,220 respectively, on fresh buying support, traders added.
Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: copper heavy - Rs 38,000, copper utensils - Rs 33,800, brass utensils - Rs 25,100, brass cuttings - Rs 26,700 and aluminium utensils - Rs 11,300.
Non-ferrous metals: copper wire bars - Rs 41,300, aluminium ingots - Rs 14,600, zinc slab - Rs 10,100, lead ingots - Rs 10,400, tin slab - Rs 1,150 per kg and nickel cathode - Rs 1,220 per kg.
