Awareness campaign for students on Russian universities
Tiruchirapalli, Jun 21 (UNI) Cultural Department of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Chennai will organise an awareness campaign here tomorrow, for students seeking to pursue medical and engineering courses from Russian universities.
As part of 'Festival 2008: Year of Russia in India,' the Russian Centre for Science and Art will conduct the campaign to provide first hand information to students and parents about the recognised medical and engineering universities in Russia and other details, according to a press release here.
The standard of higher education in Russia is considered to be one of the most advanced and sophisticated in the world and the faculties comprise highly qualified scientists and professors, it added.
Higher education in Russia is cheaper in comparison with education in UK and US. The education system is duly recognised by the United Nations and medical councils of leading countries, the release added.
The Russian medical universities, recognised by the Medical Council of India included Universities of Moscow, Tver, Volgograd, Rostov and Stavropol.
