Walk of Fame honour for Jackman, Burton and Diaz
Melbourne, June 20 : Hugh Jackman, Tim Burton and Cameron Diaz are amongst a list of two dozen movie and television celebs who are to get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
25 stars have been selected to have their names engraved on a star on Hollywood Boulevard's famous footpath next year, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce's Walk of Fame Committee has announced.
2009 Recipients in the motion picture category are Jackman, Burton, Diaz, Leslie Caron, Robert Downey Jr, Charles Durning, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Kingsley and William H Macy, reports News.com.au.
Television stars receiving the honour are Felicity Huffman, John Stamos, Chuck Lorre, William Petersen, Kyra Sedgwick and reality television uber-producer Mark Burnett.
Those from the recording industry getting their names on the footpath are Kenny "Baby Face" Edmonds, Dave Koz, The Miracles, Doug Morris, RUSH, Shakira and The Village People.
In the radio category, Bill Handel and Harry Shearer, who voices severa; characters on 'The Simpsons', including Mr Burns and Ned Flanders - are also getting stars.
The Walk of Fame, which lines both sides of Hollywood Boulevard, honours more than 2000 entertainers.
