Bangalore, Jun 20: While making it clear that the BJP would contest on its own the next Lok Sabha elections in Karnataka, party's senior leader M Venkaiah Naidu today denied reports that the party was holding secret talks with the Bahujan Samaj Party for post-poll alliance at the national level.
Talking to reporters here, he dismissed the reports as ''mere speculation''that the BJP was holding secret parleys with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and BSP supremo Mayawati. "As of now, the party is not holding any talks with the BSP," he said. "Nothing can be said about the future,'' he added, giving enough hint the party was not averse to tie up with former NDA allies.
Ruling out any alliance with other parties in Karnataka, Mr Naidu asserted the BJP, which had formed its first government in the South, would contest all the Lok Sabha seats in the state on its own.
