Kottayam, Jun 20 (UNI) Kerala Congress (M) Chairman C F Thomas today alleged that the CPI(M) was trying to politicise the education sector and warned of an agitation against this.
Addressing a news conference here, he charged that the Marxists were trying to create a ''negative feeling'' against religion, god and Indian culture in the students mind.
Kerala Congress (M)'s agitation against the move to politicise the education sector would be intensified. Marches would be staged to Education Deputy Director offices in all districts on June 28 as part of the agitation, he said.
Citing a seventh standard text book, he contended that the Marxist party was trying to teach Marxist doctrines through the book. This could not be tolerated and the test book should be withdrawn, he added.
Instead of imparting value-based knowledge, the government was trying to support violence, he charged.
