June 30 declared holiday in Punjab
Chandigarh, June 20 (UNI) The Punjab government has declared holiday on June 30 (Monday) in all its offices, offices of Cooperation/Boards and all Educational Institutions within the state and at Chandigarh in view of civic elections in the state.
General Election of Municipal Councils/Nagar Panchayats and by-election of Nagar Panchayats would be held on June 30.
An official spokesman today said it would be a holiday within the state of Punjab under section 25 of the Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881.
