Jailor suspended for injuring inmates of minority group
Lucknow, Jun 20 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh government today suspended Lucknow jailor B C Yadav for indulging in a brawl with prisoners belonging to minority group.
Earlier over suspicion, Mr Yadav frisked the jail inmates and resorted to fighting during course of action. At least nine inmates suffered serious injuries in the melee, an official spokesperson said.
The UP government had transferred the jailor to Bijnore and ordered magisterial inquiry into the incident, he said.
After finding Mr Yadav guilty of the crime, the government today suspended him, he added.
