Mumbai, Jun 20 (UNI) Terming the Maharashtra government's investigations in the activities of Samata Parishad, an organisation led by state PWD minister and NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal, as 'wrong', BJP national general secretary Gopinath Munde today said the NCP wanted to gauge the individual strength of Mr Bhujbal.
Addressing the media here, Mr Munde said the Samata Parishad has been doing a good job for the public and its activities should not be curbed.
''The investigations by Special Investigation Team in the activities of Samata Parishad and that too in Mantralaya is wrong on the part of the state government,'' he said.
Criticising State Home minister R R Patil for his ignorance of the issue, the BJP leader alleged that he was slowly losing the right to head the Home portfolio.
Mr Bhujbal, a former Sena strong man, has successfully been organising rallies of the OBCs in many states.
