Kohima, Jun 20 (UNI) An Inter-State Coordination Meeting of Police and district administrations of Nagaland, Assam and Manipur will be held at Chumukedima Police Complex near Dimapur on June 25.
Official sources said here today that the Deputy Inspector Generals of Police (DIG) of Nagaland and Manipur, along with the Superintendents of Police of Karbi Anglong district of Assam and the Senapati district of Manipur, besides the Superintendent of Police of Dimapur, are likely to attend the meet.
The meeting will discuss on the prevailing law and order situation in the borders of Nagaland-Assam and Nagaland-Manipur, movement of essential commodities on National Highways 34 and 39 and will exchange informations of mutual interest.
The meeting is said to be very important on the matter of movement of the essential commodities to the three states, especially in Manipur, where underground cadres have been demanding huge amounts from the truck drivers, which have comeplled them to stop plying to Manipur.
