Mumbai, Jun 19: Both the precious metals rallied today with silver's advance by Rs 255 per kg, opened at Rs 24,485 and standard gold by Rs 115 per ten gm, opened at Rs 12,400 per ten gm, on better buying support from ornament makers in view of strong global advice, from its last close, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said here.
In international market also both the precious metals registered an upward trend in view of encouraging advice from global market. Gold rose to USD 893.40/894.40 an ounce from USD 890.75/891.95 late in New York yesterday, when it jumped nearly USD 7 an ounce on a falling Dollar. Silver edged up to USD 17.35/17.42 an ounce from USD 17.33/17.43 late in New York.
Gold edged up on a weak dollar and overnight gains in oil, Singapore market report said.
