Rains continue to lash HP
Shimla, Jun 19 (UNI) The monsoon brought more rains to all mid and lower hills of Himachal Pradesh during the last 24 hrs.
The sky over Shimla town and other adjoining areas remained under a thick layer of clouds and experienced intermittent rains this afternoon. The capital town was lashed with 38.6 mm rainfall.
Dharamshala recorded 71.2 mm rainfall, Mandi town recorded 50.4 mm rain and Sundernagar 22.3 mm, the met office said.
Meanwhile, the day and night temperatures across the state rose by a few notches. Shimla recorded the maximum temperature at 21.1 degrees Celsius, Sundernagar 29.0 degrees celsius, Bunter 29.2 degrees celsius, Kalpa 20.9 degrees celsius and Dharamshala 24.2 degrees celsius.
Shimla's minimum temperature was 16.3 degrees celsius, Sundernagar 21.1 degrees celsius, Bhunter 20.2 degrees celsius, Kalpa 11.5 degrees celsius, Dharamshala 18.7 degrees celsius, Una 21.8 degrees celsius, Nahan 22.7 degrees celsius and Mandi 23.1 degrees celsius.
The met office has forecast rain or thundershowers at many places in the state during the next 24 hrs.
