New Delhi, Jun 19 (UNI) Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel today asked the Airports Authority of India (AAI) and the Maharashtra Government to complete the fast tracking of Chakan Airport and the construction of Jalgaon, Shirdi and Sholapur airports at the earliest for the quicker development of the State.
The fast tracking of the Greenfield airport at Chakan near Pune would greatly help in relieving the pressure on Mumbai airport, he said while reviewing the status of airports in Maharashtra.
He urged the AAI and the State Government to also upgrade the existing airports at the earliest.
