Only registered pilgrims allowed to have Darshan at Amarnath
Srinagar, Jun 19 (UNI) Concerned over the heavy rush of unregistered pilgrims, the authorities in the Jammu and Kashmir have decided not to allow any yatri without registration for particular date.
A police spokesperson said this evening that it was compulsory for all yatries to carry their registration cards with them before proceeding for the pilgrimage.
Any yatri will not be allowed to undertake the pilgrimage without registration, he said adding that the cards bearing back date registration or registration of any coming date would not be allowed to proceed for yatra.
Pilgrims having the registration for that particular date will be allowed to undertake the pilgrimage, he added.
He advised the yatris to adopt the allotted route which is mentioned in the registration card.
Pilgrims going by helicopter should possess the registration card of the date of their yatra. Similarly Pahalgam route vehicles will not be allowed to move to Baltal.
