Patna, Jun 19 (UNI) Rashtriya Janata Dal(RJD) General Secretary and spokesman Shyam Rajak today charged the Nitish Kumar-led NDA government in Bihar with being anti-poor.
In an official release of the party, Mr Rajak said the proposal of Nitish government to acquire 7.4 acres of land for security near Beur Central Jail here would hurt the sentiments of hundreds of poor families as it took them several years to build their own houses.
''If the government goes for demolition drive in the area, the hard work of the poor would go in vain and it will hurt them,'' Mr Rajak added.
He said, ''Neither the survey report of the government had objected the registration of land nor did the PRDA stay the mapping last year. The demolition drive of the site is totally unjustified,'' he observed.
