Indiscriminate transfers in Education dept in C'garh
Bilaspur, Jun 19 (UNI) The Chhattisgarh State Class III Government Employee Association has alleged that School Education Minister Ajay Chandrakar was carrying out transfers on whims at the instance of people's representatives and BJP leaders.
''Normal rules and procedures were ignored and about 800 employees transferred. Vacant posts were not taken into account while doing transfers,'' Association's P R Yadav said here yesterday.
He alleged that several employees who had not applied for transfers were sent to other districts.
Claiming that four posts are sanctioned for the post of assistant director for the District Education Office in Bilaspur, Mr Yadav said four more assistant directors have been posted in the same office and their number had gone up to eight.
Besides, subjectwise requirement was not taken into consideration while transferring school teachers and clerks were transferred to places where no post for clerk exist, he added.
