Forest officials threaten dharna
Bhopal, June 19 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Van Karmachari Sangh has threatened to stage dharna in front of the Vidhan Sabha on July 7 to press various long pending demands.
''Before staging dharna, the Sangh will launch a 'Jan Jagaran Abhiyan' though posters to alert the state government about the forest officials' demands'', Sangh President Rammurti Pandey told reporters here today.
Earlier, under the banner of Madhya Pradesh Van Karamchari evam Adhikari Morcha, a strike was staged from February 6 to 9 but was postponed on the assurance of Additional Chief Secretary Ranjana Choudhary and Principal Chief Conservator of Forest B R Khare.
Barring new set up of forest department, house rent and sanction of 226 posts of Rangers for promotion of Deputy Rangers, the remaining 22 demands remained unfulfilled in the last four months, Mr Pandey added.
''Some demands like washing allowance, nourishment allowance and one month's additional salary are still under consideration'', Mr Pandey added.
