Bangladeshi held for illegally residing in UP
Kanpur, Jun 19 (UNI) Mohammad Ibrahim, denizen of Bangladesh was arrested over suspicion by anti-terrorist squad of Uttar Pradesh Police in Chakeri police circle here late last night, police said today.
According to SSP Ashok Kumar Singh, a Bangladesh passport, visa, mobile, driving licence and four Simcards besides, Bangladesh nationality certificate and other related documents were seized from him.
Mohammad's visa had expired in March instead, he continued his stay in India, Mr Singh said.
The SIM cards he had were of Bangladesh, Hyderabad and Kanpur. He also had a driving licence issued from the industrial city, he added.
A case was registered and investigations were underway.
