Prime accused of Etawah mass killing held
Aurraiya, June 18 (UNI) Ramanand, a close confidant of dreaded dacoit Nadiya and prime accused of infamous Etawah mass killing who was also carrying a bounty of Rs 5,000 on his head, was arrested late last night after a brief encounter with police here.
Police Superintendent Bholanath Singh today said the cops cordoned off Ahalda area and apprehended Ramanand.
A country-made pistol and nine live cartridges from his possession.
Ramanand was wanted in 19 cases of heinous crimes.
On March 12, five members of a dalit family were killed at village Ameenabad in Ekdil area of Etawah district. Ramanand, Sonveer, Hume Singh and Nadiya were accused of the crime.
