Nupur, driver, maid questioned; Duranis summoned in Aarushi case

New Delhi, Jun 18 (UNI) In its quest to unravel the mystery behind the month-old Noida double murder case, the CBI today questioned accused Dr Rajesh Talwar's wife Nupur and their professional friends, the Duranis.

While Dr Nupur Talwar was questioned by the CBI team at her residence in Noida's Sector 25 Jalvayu Vihar, the Duranis were summoned by the investigation team at the agency headquarters at CGO complex, according to official sources.

''Duranis were called to the headquarters in the evening,'' sources added.

Earlier in the day, the CBI sleuths interrogated Bharti, maidservant of the Talwars and their driver Umesh. Both were questioned in the morning.

Officials, however, refused to divulge any details of the interrogation.

Also, Vijay Mandal, servant of Talwars' neighbour, was subjected to a lie detector test.

''His test was over around noon,'' sources informed.

Meanwhile, no official word was given by the CBI on its interrogation of Krishna, now one of the prime suspects, after its 'sensational disclosure' of him having admitted his involvement in the May 15-16 Aarushi murder case yesterday.

Police had arrested Dr Rajesh Talwar, a noted dentist and father of 14-year-old Aarushi, who was murdered along with her servant Hemraj on the night of May 15-16 at her Sector 25 Jalvayu Vihar residence in Noida.

Krishna, compounder of dentist Rajesh Talwar was formally arrested on June 13. He had been picked up by the CBI on June 3, soon after it took over the case from the Noida Police on June 1.
