Krishna Mohan sets record

Madurai, Jun 18 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh athlete K Krishna Mohan set a new meet record of 14.00 sec in the men's 110 M Hurdles on the final day of the 48th edition of National Inter-State Seniors athletic championship-2008, here this evening.

Krishna Mohan bettered the previous meet record held by Gurpreet Singh of Punjab 14.07 seconds, to bag the Gold. Sandeep Parmar of Maharashtra took the Silver clocking 14.58 sec,while D.Prasad of Andhra Pradesh,clocking 14.82 sec,won the Bronzed. It was double delight for Andhra Pradesh, as two of its athletes bagged medals in the event.

Women's 100 M Hurdles: Anuradha Biswal (Orissa) 13.82 sec.

Poonam Bozana (Jharkhand) 14.28 sec Shreema Priyadarshani (Karnataka) 14.60 sec.

Women's 5000 M: Priti L.Rao (Jharkhand) 17:13.13 sec M.Sudha (Tamilnadu) 17:56.55 sec Reshma Dalvi (Maharashtra) 18:33.81 sec Men's 400 M: Binu K.M. (Kerala) 46.32 sec Bipin Mathew (Madhya Pradesh) 46.82 sec S.K.Mortaza (Jharkhand) 47.02sec Men's Shot Put: Satender Singh (Jharkhand) 18.02 m P.V.Giri (Madhya Pradesh) 17.73 m Mukesh Singh (Delhi) 17.30 m.
