Kolkata, Jun 17: Incessant rainfall marked the presence of monsoon, leaving the city water logged in different parts today. The Meteorological office recorded a rainfall of 152.2 mm. The day's temperature remained constant throughout the day. A maximum temperature of 26.4 degree Celcius was recorded, while the minimum was 24.2 degree Celcius.

Frequent and heavy showers all over the city and its suburbs caused waterlogging in roads and over railway tracks, affecting the flow of traffic. Several long-distance trains had to be short-terminated and re-scheduled, while local train services were affected badly throughout the day.

MG Road, College Street, Camac Street-AJC Bose Road, Gariahat, Ahmerst Street, Madan Mohan Burman Street, parts of Behala and Belgachia remained under waters, causing immense trouble to commuters.

The monsoons has just begun to show its presence with no respite for tomorrow, Met office sources informed.
