New Delhi, Jun 18 (UNI) Former World Cup winning captain Kapil Dev has denied that he had asked the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) to return his gifts and memorabilia.

''I have not asked the PCA to return the gifts. I just said that if they don't want to keep the memorabilia's in the musuem they can return it to me. I just requested them to give it only if they do not want to keep,'' Kapil told Times Now.

''I have personally gifted those memoribilia to the Punjab Cricket museum and that if they do not want to keep the gifts, they can very well return them to me. I will appreciate the same,'' he added.

Talking about his letter to PCA secretary MP Pandove, Kapil said,''I came to know about the poster issue only through the media.

I then felt that if there were any issues, writing a letter is the best way to just send my simple message across.

''The letter was written with simple words. I have not demanded any of my gifts. It was my job to write to the PCA over the issue, if there was any. I am still saying strongly that the gifts are the PCA's and only if they don't want to keep it will I take it from there.'' UNI AB NS1505
